Liturgy in Church Slavonic celebrated in Antiochian church in Turkish Mersin

On November 10th, the divine service was celebrated in the Church of Archangels Michael and Gabriel (Patriarchate of Antioch) in the Turkish city of Mersin, bringing together Russian-speaking Orthodox Christians from Mersin, Adana and other neighbouring cities and towns.
Celebrating the Liturgy was Hieromonk Pallady (Bystrov), a cleric of the Moscow Patriarchate who takes pastoral care of the Russian Orthodox community at the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant.
The divine services take place with approval from the Patriarchate of Antioch, whose canonical territory includes several provinces in southeast Turkey.
The services in the Church Slavonic language for the Russian-speaking faithful will also be celebrated on November 30th and December 21st and 30th, Telegram channel of the Moscow Patriarchate’s communities in Turkey reports.
