Telephone conversation held between His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and the Primate of the Malankara Church of India

On November 1, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' had a telephone conversation with His Holiness Catholicos Baselios Marthoma Mathews III.

During the conversation, topics concerning the development of bilateral relations between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church were discussed.

In particular, His Holiness the Catholicos expressed gratitude to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill for sending a delegation of the Moscow Patriarchate to India, led by the Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, as well as for awarding him the Order of Glory and Honor (First Degree) of the Russian Orthodox Church.

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill warmly congratulated the Primate of the Malankara Church on this high honor and noted Catholicos Baselios Marthoma Mathews III's significant personal contribution to strengthening inter-Christian dialogue.
