Parishioners and clergy of the Church of Saint Sergius on Bali organize cultural evening for those living in an old peoples’ home.
DECR Communication service, 11.10.2024.
On the feast of Saint Sergius of Radonezh on 8th October 2024, when the parish of the Church of Saint Sergius on Bali, Indonesia celebrated its patronal feast day, after the Divine Liturgy the clergy and parishioners of the church travelled to an old peoples’ home where they organized a concert for those living there.
Such encounters bring joy and the warmth of friendly communication to those who especially neeed support and care. The guests and those living in the old peoples’ home sang songs together in Indonesian and Russian, played games and simply had a good time talking to each other,
As reported by the Telegram channel of the Patriarchal exarchate for South East Asia, at the conclusion of the event the parishioners gave each member of the audience a rose and agreed to meet again.
