Report on church aid to victims in the Kursk and Belgorod regions for September 2nd

The parishes of the Chekhov District of the Podolsk Diocese sent over 1.5 tons of food and essential items for the affected residents of the Kursk region. Additionally, 3 tons of humanitarian aid (food, household chemicals, diapers, clothing, pillows, blankets) were delivered to the Church's comprehensive social assistance center in Kursk from the Vidnoye District of the Podolsk Diocese, along with 586 folding beds from the Synodal Department for Charity, reports the diakonia.ru website.

On September 2nd, 892 people (223 families) sought assistance at the Church's comprehensive social assistance center in the Holy Trinity Monastery in Kursk. Families were provided with sets of household chemicals and food packages. Upon request, pillows, blankets, bed linen, stationery for schoolchildren, towels, and folding beds were given to those in need. Throughout the day, 28 volunteers assisted at the Center.

Since August 7th, there have been 715 calls (9 on September 2nd) on the hotline of the Synodal Department for Charity at 8-800-70-70-222 from the Kursk region.Since August 6th, 647 people (214 families) from the Kursk region and 19 people (7 families) from the Belgorod region have contacted the Moscow Refugee Assistance Headquarters under the Synodal Department for Charity.
Since August 6th, there have been 1,436 deliveries of aid to the Moscow Headquarters from churches, monasteries, and concerned citizens of Moscow.

On September 2nd, 7 people (3 families) from the Kursk region sought help at the Moscow Refugee Assistance Headquarters. Compared to the previous day, the number of families seeking assistance at the Moscow Headquarters decreased, as they all went to relatives or acquaintances. All families that sought help received humanitarian aid (food, hygiene products, household chemicals). Additionally, upon request, bed linen, blankets, and pillows were provided to the refugees.

Since August 6th, 214 people from the Kursk region have sought assistance at the church headquarters for refugees in Belgorod, located in the Marfo-Mariinsky Monastery.
On September 2nd, 43 families sought help at the church headquarters in Belgorod. One more family contacted the headquarters via the hotline. A total of 89 individuals received humanitarian assistance (food, hygiene products, bedding, pillows, blankets, clothing): 82 people from Belgorod region and the border area, 4 from the Donetsk People's Republic, Lugansk People's Republic, and Ukraine, and 3 from the Kursk region.

In three temporary accommodation centers in the Kursk region, 2 staff members and 8 volunteers from the Synodal Department for Charity are currently providing assistance.

The Zhitenny Women's Monastery of the Theotokos of the Tver Diocese has taken in refugees from the Kursk region. The monastery currently houses residents from Kursk, the Sudzha and Rylsk districts of the Kursk region, as well as Belgorod—17 people in total, including 9 children.
