Representatives of four Orthodox Churches participate in Divine service on commemoration day of St. Seraphim of Sarov

On August 1, the commemoration day of St. Seraphim of Sarov, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Patriarchal Metochion – the church of St. Nicholas in Kotelniki, the Moscow Representation of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia.
Metropolitan Niphon of Philippopolis, representative of the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus', officiated. Concelebrating were archimandrite Seraphim (Shemyatovsky), representative of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia to the Moscow Patriarchal Throne; archpriest Daniel Andreyuk, representative of the Orthodox Church in America to the Moscow Patriarchal Throne; archimandrite Philip (Vasiltsev), representative of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' to the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East; archpriest Nikolai Lishchenyuk, deputy chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relation; and the invited clergymen.
Attending the service was H.E. Lubomir Rehák, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the Russian Federation.
After the prayer behind the ambo, a glorification to St. Seraphim of Sarov was celebrated, website of the Representation reports.
At the end of the service, Metropolitan Niphon warmly greeted archimandrite Seraphim, who was celebrating his Name day, and presented him with a pectoral cross.
