On 18th July in Myra in Licea, famous as the place where Saint Nichola the Wonderworker served (today it is the city of Demre in Turkey), the Divine Liturgy was celebrated.
The service in the eighteenth-century basilica was headed by the priest in of the religious needs of the faithful of the Moscow Patriarchate in Turkey Father Georgy Sergeyev. Serving with him was the rector of the community in Antalya Father Alexei Golovin and rector of the community in Alanya Father Dimitry Bogatyr.
As reported by the website of the churches and communities of the Russian Orthodox Church in Turkey, gathered at the Divine Liturgy was a huge number of believers, including pilgrims from Russia and the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
