Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia celebrates Liturgy in Indonesia on the commemoration day of St. Sergius of Radonezh

On July 18, on the feast day of the uncovering of the venerable relics of St. Sergius, hegumen of Radonezh, Metropolitan Sergiy of Singapore and Southeast Asia celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Bishops’ metochion of St.Vladimir’s church in Bekasi, Republic of Indonesia. On the eve of the feast, the archpastor celebrated the All-night Vigil.
Concelebrating with the Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia were clergymen of the metochion and guests of the parish in holy orders.
At the end of the Liturgy, glorification was celebrated in front of the icon of St. Sergius of Radonezh. Metropolitan Sergiy delivered a sermon about the life and labours of the saint, the Exarchate Telegram Channel reports.
Metropolitan Sergiy thanked all those attending the service for common prayers on the commemoration day of his heavenly patron. Rev. Boris Setyawan, rector of the church of the Holy Apostle Thomas in Jakarta, congratulated Metropolitan Sergiy on his Name day on behalf of all the worshippers.
At the end of the festive service, the archpastor honoured Rev. Vladimir Vorumi, a cleric of the church of St. Nicholas in Jayapura, the capital of the Indonesian Province of Papua, with the right of wearing the epigonation.
