I heartily congratulate you on assuming the office of the head of the Union Council of Ministers of India. In modern India, you have become the first political figure since Jawaharlal Nehru to hold this high state office for three consecutive terms, which speaks to the trust placed in you by the citizens.

Historically, our peoples are bound by close friendly relations, and our religious and cultural traditions play an important role in strengthening them. Today, the fraternal relations between the Moscow Patriarchate and the Malankara Church of India are continuing to develop fruitfully thanks to the established Working Group on Bilateral Cooperation. The Russian Orthodox Church is grateful for the opportunity to provide spiritual care to its faithful in your country and highly values the interaction with representatives of the Indian authorities.
