The Moscow metochion of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia celebrates its patronal feast day.

On 22nd May, the patronal feast day of the Church of Saint Nicholas in Kotelniki, which is the representation church of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated.
The festive service in church was headed by the metropolitan of Philippopolis Niphon, the representative of the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia. Concelebrating with him were the representative of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia to the Patriarchal Throne of Moscow archimandrite Seraphim (Shemyatovsky), the representative of the Orthodox Church in America to the Patriarchal Throne of Moscow archpriest Daniel Andrejuk, the clergy of the church and invited priests. Heading the diaconal part of the service was hierodeacon Arseny (Pisarev).
Among those gathered in church were the ambassador of Slovakia to the Russian Federation Lubomir Rehak and other important guests, the metochion site reports.
After the Prayer Beyond the Ambo a short service of glorification was held for Saint Nicholas of Myra in Lycia.
At the end of the service archimandrite Seraphim warmly greeted metropolitan Niphon and conveyed to him the good wishes of His Beatitude the Metropolitan of the Czech Lands and Slovakia Rastislav. He presented him with a gift of an icon of Saints Wenceslas and Ludmila for the Church of Our Lady of Unexpected Joy in Zahle in the Lebanon, which is now being built through the efforts of the metropolitan of Philippopolis Niphon.
In return the bishop thanked those present for the opportunity of heading the patronal feast day in the Church of Saint Nicholas and addressed the concelebrants and the congregation with heartfelt words of greetings.
