The largest foreign diocese of Serbian Church condemns persecution of Ukrainian Orthodox Church by Kiev regime
DECR Communication Service, 26.04.2024.
At the end of the diocesan meeting of the Diocese of New Gračanica-Midwestern America of the Serbian Orthodox Church, held on April 12, 2024, an address was prepared, which touched on the topic of persecution of Orthodox believers by the Ukrainian authorities.
“We express our deepest indignation, disсontent and disapproval of the Kiev regime, which for many years has been mercilessly persecuting the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, now deprived of the Kiev Lavra of the Caves, one of the greatest shrines of Holy Rus',” says the address, the text of which is quoted by the ‘Pravblog’ Telegram channel.
It was noted with deep regret that “all this is unfolding in plain views of the so-called democratic West, which has repeatedly manifested that for the sake of “democracy and human rights” it is ready to send its “merciful angels” sowing death and poisoning entire countries and nations with depleted uranium."
“We pray to God that the bloodshed in Ukraine will cease as soon as possible and we call on the US administration to stop supporting the Kiev regime, which no longer hides its commitment to Nazi ideology,” the authors of the address emphasized.
