DECR Chairman met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Russian Federation
On the 15 of December, the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate hosted a meeting between Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Russian Federation Lee Do-hoon.
Vladyka Anthony warmly welcomed the distinguished guest, who had recently become the head of the Korean diplomatic mission in Moscow. The Archpastor introduced the interlocutor to the history of the Korean Spiritual Mission and spoke about the modern presence of the Russian Orthodox Church in Korea.
During the conversation, the participants discussed issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was also attended by Archpriest Sergius Zvonarev, DECR Secretary for the affairs of the far abroad, and Mrs Kim Sae-Won, Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy.
