DECR chairman meets with head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem

On October 16, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, met at the department premises with Archimandrite Vassian (Zmeyev), who was appointed head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem by the Holy Synod on October 11, 2023.
Metropolitan Anthony congratulated Archimandrite Vassian on his appointment to a high and responsible post and wished him God’s aid in his labours.
Discussed during the meeting were issues pertaining to the development of activities of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem.
