Hierarchs of two Churches celebrate in honour of St. Stephen at the Dormition Cathedral in Budapest

Festive divine services were celebrated in all churches in Hungary on August 20, the commemoration day of St. Stephen (István), the King of Hungary, who started the Christianization of Hungary and is considered to be the founder of the Hungarian State.
Metropolitan Hilarion of Budapest and Hungary and Archbishop Juraj of Michalovce and Košice, Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, celebrated Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Dormition in Budapest.
Taking part in the divine service were clerics of the Cathedral and from other parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Diocese of Hungary.
