Hierarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church visits the Department for External Church Relations

On the 31st of July, a hierarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Bishop Jovan of Pakrac and Slavonia, who is in Russia on a private visit with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus', came to the Danilov Stavropegial Monastery, where he met with Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate.

The meeting was attended by A.Y. Khoshev, an employee of the DECR Secretariat for Inter-Orthodox Relations, and translator S.A. Luganskaya.

During the conversation, which took place in a warm atmosphere, the participants discussed the current state of relations between the Russian and Serbian Orthodox Churches and their faith-sharing nations, and exchanged memorable gifts.
