Hierarchal Liturgy celebrated in summer camp of the Holy Trinity Parish in Budapest
DECR Communication Service, 27.06.2023.
On June 24, Metropolitan Hilarion of Budapest and Hungary visited the Orthodox summer camp of the Parish of the Holy Trinity in Budapest. His Eminence was welcomed by the rector of the parish, Rev. Dimitry Kornilov, and the head of the head of the summer camp, Ms Ekaterina Varadi, the diocesan website reports.
For the first time in the thirteen years of this summer camp, the Divine Liturgy for its children was presided over by the ruling bishop of the Diocese of Hungary, as is noted on Metropolitan Hilarion’s Telegram channel.
Metropolitan Hilarion was assisted by Rev. Dimitry Kornilov and Deacon Vyacheslav Li. It was also for the first time that the singing at the Divine Liturgy was performed by the hierarchal choir conducted by George Surkov.
In his archpastoral homily addressed to both children and adults, Metropolitan Hilarion explained the essence of the Reading of the Gospel read out during the liturgy on that day.
After the service, the hierarch held private talks with some children from the summer camp.
