DECR secretary for inter-Christian relations visits Angola

On March 22-24, Hieromonk Stefan (Igumnov), DECR secretary for inter-Christian relations, visited Angola with the blessing of the DECR chairman, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, together with a delegation of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and representatives of the Russian higher educational institutions.
Discussed at the meetings with leaders of the state educational organizations were prospects of the development of Russian educational programs and joint projects in Angola.
While in Luanda, the delegation visited the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Angola and the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Principe and met with H.E. Vladimir Tararov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to these countries.
Hieromonk Stefan met with compatriots living in Angola and with the leadership of the Association of Angolan graduates from Russian universities.
