Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk meets with Apostolic Nuncio to Syria

On January 21, in Damascus, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, met with Cardinal Mario Zenari, Apostolic Nuncio to Syria.
They had a long talk in the Italian language, discussing issues of mutual interest, including in particular the plight of Christians in the Middle East, and exchanged memorable gifts at the end of the meeting.
