Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk begins his working visit to Bulgaria

On December 5, with a blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Department for External Church Relation of the Moscow Patriarchate, arrived in Bulgaria.

During his trip, Metropolitan Anthony is accompanied by Archpriest Igor Yakimchuk, acting vice-chairman of the DECR, and Rev. Alexander Yershov, assistant to the DECR chairman.

On the same day, the DECR chairman met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Bulgaria, Ms E. V. Mitrofanova. They discussed issues of mutual concern.
