DECR Chairman meets with Director of a MFA Department

On October 10, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations (DECR), met with Alexander P. Lukashik, director of the Russian Foreign Ministry Department for Liaisons with the Constituent Entities of the Federation, the Parliament, and Public Associations (DPLA).

Taking part in the meeting, which was held at the DECR premises, were Archpriest Sergiy Zvonarev, DECR secretary for far-abroad countries affairs, and Mikhail M. Melekh, head of the DPLA section for liaisons with major Russian religious associations.

Metropolitan Anthony warmly greeted the guests. Discussed during the talk were issues pertaining to cooperation between the DECR and the DPLA both at present and in the future.
