Aid given by Russian Church to people in need in Quezon Province, Philippines

The Department for Charity and Social Service of the Russian Orthodox Church’s diocese of the Philippines-Vietnam give humanitarian aid on a regular basis to poor families in the Province of Quezon 130 km away from the capital city of Manila.
The aid is received by dozens of poor families - the elderly, women and children. The department volunteers also cook tasty porridge and other dishes for them.
After the lunch, catechetical talks are held with those who prepare themselves for embracing Holy Baptism. As the diocesan website reports, many local people have shown interest in the Orthodox faith after the miraculous healing of one of them after Baptism.
