Chairman of DECR meets with the president of St. Vladimir’s Seminary in New York

On 13th July 2021 at the Patriarchal St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York the chairman of the Department of External Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate the metropolitan of Volokolamsk Hilarion, rector of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius Theological Institute for Post-Graduate Studies, met with the president of St. Vladimir’s Seminary archpriest Chat Hadfield.

During the meeting they discussed issues concerning cooperation between St. Vladimir’s Seminary and the Ss. Cyril and Methodius Theological Institute for Post-Graduate Studies.

The sides exchanged opinions on how study should be organized during the coronavirus pandemic conditions which has affected both the USA and countries which come under the canonical jurisdiction of the Russian Orthodox Church.

They discussed various aspects of mutual interaction between the two theological schools in the field of New Testament studies.

The sides agreed to intensify cooperation in those spheres of common interest.
