His Beatitude Theophilus, Patriarch of Jerusalem Attends Solemn Festivities on the Occasion of Victory Day
On 6th May 2021, at the invitation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Israel Anatoly Viktorov, His Beatitude the Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine Theophilus III attended a solemn reception dedicated to the celebration of Victory Day. His Beatitude was accompanied by the archbishop of Constantina Aristarchus, the general secretary of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem
The solemn event, which took place in the Russian ambassador’s residence, was also attended by the head of the Russian Spiritual Mission in Jerusalem archimandrite Alexander (Yelisov) and his deputy hieromonk Dometian (Markaryan).
Among the guests at the festive reception were the heads and representatives of foreign diplomatic missions, public figures and veterans of the Great Patriotic War, states the press service of the Russian Spiritual Mission.
