Litiya celebrated in Paris in commemoration of philosopher Nicolas Berdyaev

March 24, 2021, marks the 73th anniversary of the demise of Nicolas Alexandrovich Berdyaev (1874- 1948), an eminent Christian religious philosopher and publicist. He stood at the origin of spiritual revival of Russian culture in the early 20 th century and was a founder and faithful parishioner of the Three Hierarchs metochion in Paris.

Litiya for the rest of the soul of God’s servant Nicolas was celebrated at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Paris with the blessing of Metropolitan Anthony of Chersonese and Western Europe, Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe.

Clergymen and parishioners were praying at the service celebrated by Rev. Maxim Politov, Rev. Ioann Dimitrov and deacon Roman Onika.
