Members of the Synod of the Russian Church Abroad pray before the honourable head of St. John Chrysostom

On 9 February 2010, the commemoration day of St. John Chrysostom, Archbishop of Constantinople, a solemn divine service was celebrated at the Synodal Cathedral of the "Sign" Icon of the Mother of God, the Russian Church Abroad. Reposing at the church on these days is the honourable head of St. John Chrysostom, brought to New York from the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow.
The members of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Church Abroad prayed at the All-Night Vigil and at the Divine Liturgy.
After the festal divine service, a regular session of the Synod of Bishops began to continue its work till February 11, website of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia reports.
