Metropolitan Hilarion tonsures Rev. Ioann Guaita at the Laura of the Holy Trinity and St. Sergius

On 31 October 2010, Metropolitan Hilarion, head of the Moscow Patriarchate's Department for External Church Relations, tonsured Rev. Ioann Guaita, a staff member of the DECR secretariat for interchristian relations. The newly tonsured monk was called Ioann in honour of St. John the Prophet and Baptist of the Lord.

Praying at the church were Archbishop Feognost, abbot of the Laura of the Holy Trinity and St. Sergius; head of the DECR Communication Service Revd. Dimitry Ageyev, other staff members of the DECR, and the brethren of the monastery.
