Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church arrives in Thessaloniki
On 3 June 2013, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia arrived in Thessaloniki.
Meeting His Holiness at Macedonia airport were Metropolitan Anthimos of Thessaloniki, Metropolitan Prokopios of Nea Krini and Kalamaria, Metropolitan Nikodemos of Kassandreia, Minister Theodoros Karaoglou for Macedonia and Thrace, Russian Consul General to Thessaloniki A. Popov, and Mayor of Thessaloniki Yannis Boutaris.From the airport His Holiness proceeded to the Cathedral of St. Gregory Palamas.
In the morning of June 4, His Holiness will depart to the Holy Mount Athos, where he will have an extensive programme.
