Hierarchs of the Serbian Orthodox Church visit Department for External Church Relations

On 17 June 2014, archpriest Nikolai Balashov, vice-chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, met with Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje and Niksic, who is leading a group of Orthodox clerics and laymen from Montenegro in their pilgrimage to the Russian Orthodox Church.

They were joined in the meeting by Bishop Antonije of Moravica, representative of His Holiness Patriarch of Serbia to the Moscow Patriarchal See.

Discussed were the present situation of the Church in Montenegro and issues pertaining to fraternal relations between the Russian and Serbian Orthodox Churches.
