Metropolitan Hilarion meets with director of Tretyakov State Gallery and director of State Museum of History
August 18, 2015 – Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations (DECR) and rector of the Ss Cyril and Methodius Institute of Post-Graduate Studies (CMI), met with the Tretyakov State Gallery director Ms Z. Tregulova and the State Museum of History director Mr. A. Levykin.
Participating in the meeting were also S. Kravets, director of the Church Research Center “Orthodoxy Encyclopaedia”, A. Yanovsky, deputy director of the State Museum of History, and K. Gandur, secretary to the CMI rector.
The meeting focused on preparations for the international academic church conference on the Prince Vladimir: the Civilization Choice. It is organized by the CMI together with the Russian History Society and with the participation of the State Museum of History and the Tretyakov State Gallery. The conference is planned to open on November 19.
The conference will work in history, art, archaeology and church-public sections to take place at the CMI, the Tretyakov Gallery and the State Museum of History.
