Festive dinner in honour of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill is given at the Representation of Russian Federation at the UN in Geneva
On 26 January 2016, a festive dinner in honour of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia was given at the Representation of the Russian Federation at the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva.
Among those attending the dinner were permanent representative of the Russian Federation at the UN and other international organizations in Geneva, Mr. Alexei Borodavkin with his wife; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Swiss Confederation Alexander Golovin, and other officials.
His Holiness warmly greeted all those present.
Representing the Russian Orthodox Church at the reception were Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations (DECR; Bishop Sergy of Solnechnogorsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Administrative Secretariat; archpriest Nikolai Balashov, DECR deputy chairman; archpriest Igor Yakimchuk, DECR secretary for inter-Orthodox relations; and the Rev. Alexander Volkov, head of the Patriarchal Press Service.
