DECR secretary for inter-Christian relations meets with Apostolic Nuncio to Syria

On the instruction from Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, Hegumen Stefan (Igumnov), DECR secretary for inter-Christian relations, while in Damascus as a member of the delegation of the Interreligious working group of Russia’s Presidential Council for Cooperation with Religious Organizations, met with the Apostolic Nuncio to Syria, Cardinal Mario Zenari.

The meeting took place at the Nunciature in Damascus on 5 February 2018. The participants discussed a number of projects that could be included in the agenda of cooperation between the Moscow Patriarchate and the Holy See, aimed at supporting the suffering population of Syria.
