Summer institute for Russian language held in Moscow for representatives of University of Balamand

From July 8 to August 4, 2018, a Russian language institute is held for representatives of the University of Balamand (Orthodox Church of Antioch) at the Ss Cyril and Methodius Institute for Post-graduation Studies (CMI) with the blessing of its rector, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk. The delegation is led by Prof. Archimandrite Maxim (Aljamal), St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology.

This program is intended to develop cultural and academic cooperation between the Patriarchates of Moscow and Antioch and as a part of the Russian Orthodox Church’s support for Christians in the Middle East who are subjected to persecution and oppression. Along with studies of the Russian language, a cultural program has been arrangedfor the attendees tovisit holy places of the Russian Orthodox Church and Moscow sites.
