Patriarch Kirill had a phone talk with Archbishop Ioann of Dubna

On September 14, 2019, His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russian had a phone conversation with Archbishop Ioann (Renneto) of Dubna.

His Holiness told Archbishop Ioann that the Holy Synod considered his request to join the Moscow Patriarchate together with clergy and parishes who wish to follow him and informed him about the decision.

The Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church said he was pleased with the historic event that took place, congratulated Archbishop Ioann and thanked him for his wise leadership of his flock.
