His Holiness Patriarch Kirill’s greeting to the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Antioch with anniversary of enthronement

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has sent the following greeting to His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East:

Your Beatitude, beloved brother and concelebrant at God’s Altar:

I cordially congratulate you on the 7^th anniversary of your ascent to the old see of the Patriarchs of Great Antioch and All the East.

Having accepted the lot of Primatial service with spiritual trepidation, you bear fruit in every good work (Col 1:10) and firmly hold to the part of truth (Ps 25:5). The years of your Primatial ministry, which have fallen on the time of severe trials for God-loving children of the Church of Antioch, have been marked with tireless care for the flock entrusted to you and efforts to assert Orthodoxy in the Middle East.

Today I am lifting up fervent prayers to the Generous Creator that He may send Your Beatitude good health, long life and abundant help in your further Primatial labours.
