Primate of Orthodox Church in America arrives in Moscow
On 5 December 2019, His Beatitude Tikhon, Metropolitan of All America and Canada, Primate of the Orthodox Church in America arrived in Moscow to take part in the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the OCA Representation.
The OCA delegation includes Archbishop David of Sitka and Alaska; Archimandrite Andrei (Hoarşte); bishop-elect of Cleveland, auxiliary to the archbishop of the Romanian Episcopate; Archpriest Alexander Rentel, chancellor of the OCA; Archpriest Daniel Andrejuk, rector of the OCA Representation in Moscow; and Protodeacon Joseph Matusiak, Metropolitan Tikhon’s secretary.
Protopresbyter Daniel Hubiak, the first rector of the OCA Representation, also arrived in Moscow to take part in the celebration.
His Beatitude and his suite were met at Sheremetyevo airport by Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations (DECR); Bishop Kliment of Krasnoslobodsk and Temnikov; Archpriest Nikolai Balashov, DECR deputy chairman; Hegumen Feofan (Lukianov), head of the DECR Protocol section; and Archpriest Igor Yakimchuk, DECR secretary for inter-Orthodox relations.
