Chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations meets with Patriarch John of Antioch

On 22^nd September 2019, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, met with His Beatitude Patriarch John X of the Great Antioch and All the East in the city of Zahle, Lebanon.

Metropolitan Hilarion conveyed to His Beatitude warm brotherly wishes from the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The participants in the meeting discussed the development of bilateral relations between the Patriarchate of Antioch and the Moscow Patriarchate, as well as various pan-Orthodox issues. His Beatitude Patriarch John expressed his gratitude to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill for the support rendered by the Russian Orthodox Church to the Christians in the Middle East.
