Patriarch Irenaeus of Serbia arrives in Moscow
On May 22, 2018, His Holiness Irenaeus, Patriarch of Serbia, arrived in Moscow.
Among those who are accompanying the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church are members of the delegation including in particular Bishop Irenaeus of Bač, abbot of the Kovilj Monastery; Archimandrite Isihije (Rogic) elected Bishop of Mohacki; Deacon Alexander Prasevic, head of the Patriarchal office; and Dejan Nakic, the Patriarch’s personal secretary and director of the Belgrade archdiocesan workshop.
At Sheremetyevo airport His Holiness Irenaeus was met by Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations (DECR), Bishop Ioann of Domodedovo, Archpriest Nikolay Balashov, DECR vice-chairman, and Moscow clergy, as well as Mr. V. Alekseyev, president of the Unity of Orthodox Nations international public foundation, and A. Khoshev, a DECR staff member.
Among the welcoming party was also Bishop Anthony of Moravici, rector of the Moscow representation of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
