Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk meets with His Beatitude Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus

On 5 May 2018, His Beatitude Chrysostomos II of New Justiniana and All Cyprus received Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations (DECR), who arrived in Cyprus with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.

They were joined at the meeting, which took place at the building of the Archbishopric of Cyprus in Nicosia, by Bishop Grigorios of Mesaoria, Orthodox Church of Cyprus, archpriest Nikolai Balashov, DECR deputy chairman, and Rev. Anatoly Churyakov, a DECR staff member.

Pan-Orthodox topics, issues pertaining to bilateral cooperation and interconfessional relations were discussed.
