Patriarch Kirill attends President Putin’s address to Federal Assembly

On December 1, 2016, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin delivered his annual address to the Federal Assembly at the St. George Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace.

Present at the event was His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.

Among those who assembled at the hall were also Metropolitan Juvenaly of Krutitsy and Kolomna; Metropolitan Varsonofy of St. Petersburg and Ladoga, chancellor of the Moscow Patriarchate; Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations (DECR), and Mr. V. Legoida, head of the synodal department for the Church’s relations with society and mass media.
