On 20 April 2015, a regular session of the Organizing Committee for celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the demise of St. Vladimir Equal-to-the-Apostles was held at the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations (DECR).

Chairing the session was Metropolitan Hilarion, chairman of the Organizing Committee, chaired the session.

Taking part in the session were Bishop Sergiy of Solnechnogorsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Administrative Secretariat; archimandrite Tikhon (Shevkunov), executive secretary of the Patriarchal Council for Culture; Mr. Vladimir Legoida, chairman of the Synodal Information Department; archpriest Nikolai Balashov, DECR deputy chairman; archimandrite Savva (Tutunov), deputy chancellor of the Moscow Patriarchate; archpriest Alexander Abramov, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s protocol service; archpriest Andrei Milkin, head of the Patriarchal protocol service; Revd. Roman Bogdasarov, deputy head of the Church-Society relations; and Mr. Mikhail Kuksov, deputy head of the Administrative Secretariat.

Discussed at the session were issues pertaining to the jubilee celebrations being held in 2015 in honour of St. Vladimir, the Baptizer of Russia.
