Metropolitan Hilarion chairs a meeting of interdepartmental task force on teaching theology in institutions of higher education

On 2 September 2013, Metropolitan Hilarion, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations DECR); chairman of the Synodal Biblical and Theological Commission and rector of the Ss Cyril and Methodius Theological Institute for Post-Graduate and Doctoral Studies chaired a meeting of the interdepartmental task force on teaching theology in the institutions of higher education.

Discussed at the meeting that took place at the DECR premises were prospects of formation of theology into a separate integrated group of specialties of the Federal State Education Standard for higher professional education for post-graduate and doctoral studies. The participants considered and appreciated the draft document.
