Your Eminence,

Please accept my heartfelt greetings on this memorable date – the 45^th anniversary of your episcopal consecration.

Having responded to the call of Christ the Chief Shepherd, you embarked on the path of service to His Church and, years later, were vouchsafed to receive the grace of the Holy Spirit, which made you a successor to the apostles. From that time onwards, you have been working earnestly, with zeal and diligence.

It is gratifying that in carrying out your archpastoral service at the See of Berlin, you foster further development of the diocesan and parochial life in the ecclesiastical domain entrusted to your care, make your contribution to the strengthening of the Orthodox unity and bear witness before your contemporaries to the imperishable truths of the Gospel.

On this day of spiritual importance to you, I prayerfully wish you inexhaustible strength, generous help from God and success in your further ministry for the benefit of the Holy Church.
