Session of the Synod of the Patriarchal exarchate for South-East Asia takes place.

On 21st November 2025 in the Church of the Nativity of Christ in the city of Tagaytay in the Philippines there took place a session of the Synod of the Patriarchal exarchate for South-East Asia under the chairmanship of the Patriarchal exarch for South-East Asia the metropolitan of Singapore and South East Asia Sergius.
Also participating in the work of the Synod were the administrator of the diocese of the Philippines and Vietnam the metropolitan of Manila and Hanoi Paul, the administrator of the diocese of Korea the archbishop of Korea Theophanes and the bishop and auxiliary of the diocese of Singapore of Jakarta Pitirim.
As reported by the Telegram channel of the exarchate, at the opening of the session of the Synod the participants expressed their sincere gratitude to His Holiness the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ Kirill and the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church for their steadfast support for the Orthodox communities in Asia.
A whole spectrum of issues was examined by the Synod that concerned the further development of the parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church in the countries of South-East Asia, as well as the strengthening of interfaith dialogue in the region.
