Closing ceremony of the Days of Russian Spiritual Culture in Serbia takes place in Sremski Karlovci

On October 8, the final day of the festive events of the Days of Russian Spiritual Culture in Serbia that had been held in the Serbian cities of Vranje, Pirot, Niš, Aleksinac and Belgrade, the Sretensky Monastery Choir and the State Academic Russian Folk Ensemble “Rossiya” named after Lyudmila Zykina gave a concert at the Vidikovac Cultural Center in Sremski Karlovci. An exhibition of the Kizhi State Historical- Architectural and Ethnographic Museum-Reserve titled “Kizhi – the Revived Masterpiece of Russia” was opened on the Center territory.
Among those attending the events were Mr. Dražen Đurdžić, the mayor of Sremski Karlovci; Mr. Yevgeny A. Baranov, the director of the Russian House in Belgrade; Priest Andrei Titushkin, a staff member of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, as well as local residents and Russian compatriots.
On October 9, a master class was given by soloists of the Sretensky Monastery Choir at the Karlovci Theological Seminary for its faculty and students.

The Days of Russian Spiritual Culture is a unique project of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation aimed at popularizing spiritual and moral values of the Russian people and the richness of national culture and art abroad. The project is being implemented in close cooperation with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Russian Orthodox Church. The organizer is the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization “Russian Seasons.”
Since 2008, the Days of Russian Spiritual Culture have been held in about 50 countries around the world.
