Metropolitan Anthony meets with Russia’s Consul General in Erbil

In the evening of 29^th September 2025, while in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ and at the invitation of the Primate of the Assyrian Church of the East, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, visited the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Erbil.

There, the DECR chairman met with the Consul General of the Russian Federation, Mr. Maxim Rubin. The participants in the meeting exchanged opinions on a wide range of issues.
