On the night of May 25, 2025, as a result of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), St. Nicholas Cathedral in the village of Epifan, Tula Oblast (Kimovskoe Deanery of the Tula Diocese), was damaged. This was reported by Tula Oblast Governor D.V. Milyaev on his Telegram channel.
According to the regional head, after a drone hit St. Nicholas Cathedral, its dome burned down. The fire was contained, and there were no casualties. In nearby residential buildings, some windows were partially damaged.
