Session of the commission for international cooperation of the Russian Presidential Council for Interaction between Religious Organizations takes place.

On 12^th March at the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate a regular session of the commission for international cooperation of the Russian Presidential Council for Interaction between Religious Organizations took place.

Attending the session, which was led by the chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate and head of the commission for international cooperation the metropolitan of Volokolamsk Anthony, were: secretary for the Russian presidential administration for internal policy, secretary of the Council (deputy chairman of the commission) A.V. Tretyakov; advisor to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia archpriest Nikolai Balashov; senior bishop of the Union of Russian Pentecostal Christians S.V. Ryakhovsky; head of the department for interaction with religious organizations under the Russian Presidential administration for internal policy Ye. V. Eremin; first deputy chairman for the Russian State Duma committee for international affairs A.V. Chepa; secretary of the DECR for the far abroad and secretary of the commission archpriest Sergei Zvonarev; chairman of the Patriarchal commission for the family, the protection of motherhood and children Father Feodor Lukyanov; deputy chairman of the Spiritual Directorate for Russian Muslims for international affairs R.R. Abbyasov; chairman of the international Islamic mission Sh.A. Pshikhachev; DECR secretary for interreligious relations Father Ilya Kashitsyn; first deputy chairman of the Euro-Asian division (branch) of the General Conference of the Church of Seventh Day Adventists O.Yu. Goncharov; chief advisor of the department of the Russian Presidential administration for internal policy A.A. Terentiev; and other commission members and invited officials.

The participants in the session discussed relevant issues, including the protection of traditional values within the public sphere.
