In Nuremberg, the 25th Anniversary of the parish of Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg was celebrated

DECR Communication service, 11.02.2025.
On February 6, 2025, the feast day of Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg, Archbishop Tikhon of Ruza, the ruling bishop of the Berlin-German Diocese, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in Nuremberg (Germany) at the parish dedicated to this saint of God. The day also marked the 25th anniversary of the founding of the parish of Blessed Xenia.
The evening before, Archbishop Tikhon led the service of the All-Night Vigil with the Litia.
Concelebrating with the hierarch were the dean of the Bavaria-Hesse district and rector of the parish, Archpriest Peter Stepanov; the dean of the Northern district, Archpriest Boris Ustimenko (Magdeburg); Archpriest Viktor Rakk (Giessen); Archpriest Nikolay Zabelich (Munich); Archpriest Pavel Melnikov (Kempten); Hieromonk Kosmas (Klauser) (Passau); Archpriest Daniil Sayfutdinov (Schweinfurt); Priest Georg Lang (Nuremberg); Priest Alexey Veselov (Krefeld); Priest Maxim Sorokin (Bamberg); Priest Alexander Anisimov (Nuremberg); Protodeacon Vitaly Sadakov; and Protodeacon Archil Chkhikvadze.
The service was conducted in Church Slavonic and German, according to the diocesan website.
During the augmented litany, a prayer for peace was offered.
After the dismissal of the Liturgy, Archbishop Tikhon performed the magnification and read the prayer to Blessed Xenia. Many years were proclaimed.
The ruling bishop of the diocese congratulated the clergy and parishioners on the patronal feast and addressed the worshippers with an archpastoral word, noting: "The cross we bear with humility is our service to God. Therefore, let us be grateful to God for everything. Let us desire only that our affairs be arranged not as we imagine, but as God wills. Through the intercession of Blessed Xenia, may the Lord grant us help in bearing His easy yoke (Matthew 11:30). Amen."
The rector of the church, Archpriest Peter Stepanov, thanked the ruling bishop for the joy of prayerful communion.
In recognition of pastoral labors and in connection with his 80th anniversary, Archbishop Tikhon presented Priest Georg Lang with a Patriarchal award—the Order of St. Seraphim of Sarov (III degree)—while particularly active parishioners were awarded Archpastoral Gramotas (charters).
