Delegation from Russian Reconciliation Centre for Syria visits Damascus Representation of the Russian Orthodox Church

On October 26, the Representation of the Russian Orthodox Church in Damascus was visited by a delegation from the Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Sides and Refugee Migration Monitoring in the Syrian Arab Republic, headed by Captain 1st Rank Oleg Ignasyuk, deputy head of the Center and head of its Damascus territorial branch.

The Russian military prayed at the memorial service for the fallen soldiers celebrated by Archimandrite Philip (Vasiltsev), representative of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' to the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East.

After the prayer, Captain Ignasyuk donated to the mission a set of bells brought to Syria by the Russian military for the belfry at the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Jal El Dib, Lebanon. Also, the Reconciliation Center handed over a large number of care packages to the Representation of the Russian Orthodox Church for the needs of its community and the ‘Msana’ Centre for Pediatric Prosthetics and Rehabilitation.
