DECR Communication service, 07.10.2024
On October 6, on the 15th week after Pentecost, the Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe, Metropolitan Nestor of Chersonesus and Western Europe, who was on an archpastoral visit to the Principality of Monaco, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the local parish church dedicated to the Holy Royal Passion-bearers.
During the Liturgy, Metropolitan Nestor was assisted by the parish rector, Archpriest Vadim Zakrevsky, the cleric of the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Paris, Hieromonk Irinei (Gribov), and the cleric of the St. Nicholas Cathedral in Nice, Protodeacon Ioann Buzdugan, as reported by the website of the Diocese of Chersonesus.
After the service, the Archpastor addressed the parishioners with a message of edification on the Gospel theme and expressed his joy at the opportunity to visit the Monegasque community again, in the establishment of which he had the chance to take an active part.
In his response, Archpriest Vadim thanked Metropolitan Nestor for his archpastoral attention to the community in Monaco and for the joy of praying together with the ruling hierarch.
