Churches in Europe working group of St. Petersburg Dialogue Forum meets in St. Petersburg

On 9^th July, the Churches in Europe working group of the St. Petersburg Dialogue Forum held its regular meeting in St. Petersburg. Having considered the current level of cooperation within the working group, its members emphasised the importance of maintaining the existing format. They also discussed prospects of expanding cooperation with civil societies in other countries.

Taking part in the meeting were Archimandrite Philaret (Bulekov), deputy chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, head of the Churches in Europe working group; Archpriest Sergy Zvonarev, DECR secretary for far abroad countries; Archpriest Dimitry Sizonenko, head of the International Department of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy; Priest Iliya Kosykh, head of the DECR Communication Service; Hierodeacon Alexy (Ochkanov) of the DECR Secretariat for Far Abroad Countries; Deacon Dimitry Serov, director of the Publishing House of the Moscow Theological Academy; Mr Vakhtang Kipshidze, deputy chairman of the Department for Church’s Relations with Society and Mass Media; and Mr Vladislav Petrushko, deputy director of the Centre for Prevention of Extremism and Deviant Behaviour among Young People of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI.
